Subhechha
Subhechha is currently undertaking her Masters by Research in the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department at the University of Auckland. Born and raised in Kathmandu- capital of country Nepal, she received her Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Tribhuvan University. She has since been working in the same field, covering projects for seismic hazard and risk assessment, and disaster risk reduction and planning, in cases of earthquake and flood disasters. Her focus has been on supporting infrastructural resilience through understanding of ground conditions and damage mechanisms of infrastructures and major lifelines.

Modelling of the dynamic response of the Whirokino Viaduct.

Research Title: Modelling of the dynamic response of the Whirokino Viaduct

Project Summary:
The research aims to constrain the dynamic characteristics of the Whirokino Viaduct and develop a numerical model that can effectively capture the monitored response. It will help improve understanding of the methods to model the dynamic response of bridge structures, accounting for soil-structure interaction effects, and act as a guideline on modelling approaches for future reference.
